Best dressed man and lady Gavin Borthwick and Katie Flett exude style and confidence at New Zealand Trotting Cup Day 2016. Confidence, design and style were combined in one of New Zealand's most hotly-contested fashion competitions. Women took to the stage over five heats for the Westfield Riccarton Style Stakes at New Zealand Trotting Cup Day 2016 on Tuesday. Katie Flett, an early favourite among the crowd,​ went on to win Best Dressed Lady with an outfit she designed herself. The women set the bar high in this year's Best Dress Lady competition at Addington Raceway. "It feels great, [I'm] really excited," Flett said of her win. Best Dressed Man went to Gavin Borthwick who put his success down to his girlfriend's choice of suit. He was "surprised, but very happy" to win.
