Donald Trump Nearing Selection of Chief of Staff, Campaign Manager Says

President-elect Donald Trump’s announcement of his White House chief of staff is “imminent,” campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said Saturday. Ms. Conway, speaking to reporters in the lobby of Trump Tower in New York, also said Americans would hear from Mr. Trump within the next couple of days and that he may travel to some states next week to thank his supporters. “We’re working on the schedule. We feel busier than ever,” she said. The chief of staff announcement wouldn’t come on Saturday, Ms. Conway said. She deflected a question about whether Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus was getting the job. “I think Chairman Priebus has expressed an interest in the position,” she said. “There are several people being considered. And it’s Mr. Trump’s decision ultimately.” Ms. Conway declined to say what position in the administration she has been offered but she has discussed her options with Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump is enjoying time with his family and has been making phone calls, giving interviews and holding meetings throughout the day, Ms. Conway said. Among them was a meeting with Nigel Farage of the UK Independence Party, a leading proponent of Britain’s decision to leave the European Union.
